<description>Great list - a new twist on the get traffic articles everywhere. I just finished setting up two StumbleUpon Campaigns and am very interested to see the results. One added benefit - it forced me to think about how we might keep someone engaged if they visit because of a general interest in real estate, and not a specific interest in real estate appraisal - the site is about real estate appraisal (valuation of property). Today&#039;s task: write a page that hooks them in to the overall concept of what comprises property value, and see what happens.

Btw, if anyone is interested . . . we saw almost zero traffic for the first 6 months - maybe 2 visitors a day. I finally sat down and spent a month on targeted SEO - made sure every single page and post had targeted keywords, descriptions, h1, h2 and h3 tags that made sense, etc., set up and submitted my sitemap to google, added comment plugins to encourage people to comment, and wrote a bunch of new content.

We&#039;ve seen a jump in traffic to about 8 to 12 organic searches a day, with a lull over the long holiday weekend. I know that is pitiful compared to other sites, but we have a very narrow target audience - people in Austin, Texas who need to get their home appraised.

One thing for sure, a year from now we will OWN the Austin market for this - our site will be the best, more informative site, and we will be paying attention, rigorous attention to what gets people to convert.

I am very appreciative of folks like you that take the time to show the rest of us some things that can help make the difference.

<description>Hey Ash, I think I just started with $50 or something (which is 1,000 stumbles) to see the response, and then adjusted and did $50 again, etc. Let us know how it goes if you get a chance! Thanks,

<description>Hi Primrose, I don&#039;t have much experience there...you may want to contact Chris Guthrie though, he seems to be having good success with that:

		<description>Hi Brian,

Thanks for the good stuff you&#039;ve posted. I&#039;m sort of starting out, looking at what to do in internet business. Have been thinking of those affiliate programs, particularly interested in bookshops. Are they any good? What are the pros and cons, I have been reading stuff posted by the companies offering the affiliate programs, so it all sounds good with no cons. Any advice? I havent setup a website yet, still researching the idea, so any advice will be treasured. ta</description>
