BA is awesome, and great experience so I’m happy for my time here. I feel like I’ve become a more confident world traveler, and almost fluent in Spanish now. SF will just be the next step so I can throw myself into the heart of the technology scene and make some serious money for a bit :)

FYI –
On the BuyersVote HomePage you’ve got : “No B.S. product reviews written by people just like you.”

At first it sounds like you’re trying to say
“no product reviews written by people just like you.” Maybe you should word it better,

Also, when you say “start a new category” you should give an example.
eg. Laptops.

Maybe you should have a place to enter a review for a product directly, and let people select a category (with an ajax “suggest” kinda text box that shows suggestions as they type). Otherwsie you can let them create a new category.

In your search results page, if the product I’m looking for is not found, you should give me a link/button to “add it” and write a review for it, or to start a new category.

I like the kind of work you’re doing Bryan. But you definitely need lots more users/scale on BuyersVote for it to become big.

Let me know if you could use some help with UX/Evangelism/marketing.

I’m an ex UX dev, and currently Program Manager on Bing, at Microsoft.
I’ve been wanting to do such beautifully simple “fringe of technology” start ups for a while now.

I might be able to help you and get some inspiration/learning myself. : )

Hey Thanks! Yep, I go in phases on the blog posts, but still here workin hard :)

FeedmailPro is being used on about 200 blogs now. Most are free accounts. I think there are 7 paying customers now (so about 3-4% conversion free to paid). Not huge but not bad.

UT is growing too in the new year. I should do a post at some point posting revenue numbers for all of those. I guess I’m always impatient and wish they were higher, but readers might enjoy the transparency :)

Great new features, Brian! Been a long time since your last blog post, glad to see you’re still at it! You’re really good with usability studies and having a nice, clean design. Keep up the great work! You haven’t written much about your email service similar to Aweber for a while – how is that going? Any other updates to UT? Glad to see you are trying to monetize BV a little – every little bit helps!
