I’ve seen these before! Well not the same words but something like this kind of “sorry to see you go, come leave a feedback” message and 10 out of 10 I’ll leave a feedback just because it’s funny, friendly and engaging.
I hate those bureaucratic, robotic and automatic feedback systems, where 10 out of 10 I’ll hesitate telling them anything constructive.
Nice work… Definitely an improvement over the typical messages you get or just letting them go without saying anything!
I don’t run any subscription services myself but I’ll always personally e-mail someone who has unsubscribed from my mailing list, to get more specific and useful feedback… well that’s the aim anyway; I’ve yet to have anyone unsubscribe! :)
Some startups I’ve even seen will even try to make an automated message seem real by intentionally misspelling something, or including “Sent from my iPhone” at the end.

Good one. I love emotional or funny messages that make your app seem more human.

Thanks Eric! Do you guys include examples of humor or personality in EasyBroker too?

Not too much humor however we keep most things informal. I like our welcome message once you login for example
“Hi Brian, it’s time to start selling and we’re here to help. Let’s get started!”
and our 500 page
“Oops, something went wrong!”
and we used to have a different upgrade page that included
“Lots of love from the EasyBroker team”
as one of the benefits for upgrading.

Yep, I think personal messages are great too.
