What makes one entrepreneur different from another is their execution. Great ideas are indeed in abundance and you don't need to be the first person to act on that idea to be successful, you just need to be the best. Also, what you should be secretive of is not necessarily the idea itself, but the process or way to turn the idea into reality. I had a great idea and I know many others have had it too, but I shared it with someone whom I thought was a friend and they got finance faster than me and beat me to the market. I still went ahead but as you can imagine, the impact of my idea was only 50% or less than it should have been. Beware who you think are your friends. I will not share an idea with anyonyone now untill I'm eady to launch! I’m a little gunshy about this point.
